EMT Launch New Product at IEEE T&D – introducing the next generation handheld SF6 Gas Leak Detector

IEEE saw the launch of another new product from EMT! In response to market demand for handheld SF6 gas leak detection the team introduced their next generation SF6 Gas Leak Detector at the show. This innovative and cost effective product uses an infrared absorption sensing cell which is extremely sensitive to SF6. The SF6 Gas Leak Detector maintains this level of sensitivity over time for consistent and reliable performance. Significantly, the sensor cell lasts approximately 800 hours, lowering the cost of ownership and increasing job productivity – all were ticks in the box for T&D maintenance personnel we spoke to at the event, with several commenting this is a ‘must for their maintenance teams tool kit’.

Overall, feedback following recent global events, was that EMT are serving the industry well; giving the T&D maintenance market what it needs – real practical solutions for SF6 testing and maintenance. With EMT products and innovations there are no limitations; we’re opening new chapters, re-writing the pages, and revolutionising SF6 analysis and handling.

We also came away with a host of prospective distributors, interested to join one of the industry’s fastest growing distribution networks, providing the most advanced SF6 solutions to electric utilities personnel around the world.
